Words I Never Got To Say A Fay Ulrica X Hannah Bhatt Collaboration

temu house welcomes you to Words I Never Got To Say, a collaborative exhibition by Fay Ulrica and Hannah Bhatt, shaped through an ongoing exchange of words, material, and form.

The collaborative process unfolds as a dialogue. Fay begins with writing, offering words not as explanations but as prompts. Hannah responds through ceramic form, translating language into weight, surface, and containment. The process then turns back. Fay returns to Hannah’s forms, allowing their material presence to reshape her paintings and drawings.

This exhibition holds space for thoughts that arrived late, for emotions that required time to surface, and for the forms they eventually take. Rather than seeking resolution or closure, these works embrace the pause, hesitations, and the quiet accumulation of meaning, allowing what was once unspoken to exist.

Join us at temu house for the opening, 31st January, Saturday at 4.00pm.

We would love to meet with you.

Artist Bio

Fay Ulrica is a Malaysian artist whose practice moves across writing, illustration, and moving image, using raw, layered visual language to explore vulnerability, identity, and emotional tension. Her works often sit between beauty and discomfort, functioning as both confrontation and release - a search for balance between ambition and stillness. Rooted in intuition and honesty, Fay’s practice reflects a deep sensitivity to process, collaboration, and the fragile act of being seen, shaped by her parallel work in creative technology and storytelling.

Hannah Bhatt is a Malaysian ceramic artist and founder of Uncanny Valley Studios, known for her surreal, tactile sculptures that explore memory, identity, and transformation. A former lawyer turned artist, Hannah weaves personal narratives often shaped by motherhood, loss, and resilience into work that invites intimate connection. Her practice merges the whimsical and uncanny, blending storytelling, sculpture, and community engagement. Hannah’s pieces have been exhibited in solo and group shows, and she often collaborates across disciplines, from fashion to social impact projects. Through Uncanny Valley Studios, she creates spaces both physical and emotional for people to reflect, play, and find beauty in the in-between.
